Canadian Forces Regular Officer Training Program
PDF Print E-mail
The Commercial Aviation Management program is the only aviation program approved by the Canadian Forces (CF) for training their pilots. Once accepted, each student is expected to complete the ICPL flight training program, and the tuition will be reimbursed by the CF. Along with the flight training, the ROTP student is expected to maintain at least the minimums required and finish the BMOS degree. The entire cost of the program is subsided by the Canadian Forces and the graduating student will undergo further training upon completion of the CAM program in order to serve Canada as a pilot.

The CAM program at the University of Western Ontario is endorsed by the Canadian Forces for many reasons, some of which include training their troops to learn skills only a university environment can offer. The University of Western Ontario offers skills such as critical thinking, ability to adapt to change, strong communication skills along with good problem-solving skills for the CF pilots that train with the Commercial Aviation Management Program.

For more information regarding the ROTP program offered by the Canadian Forces at the University of Western Ontario, please visit www.forces.ca or talk to a recruiting agent the your local Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre.
