The uniqueness of this program is what drew me to it. From day one, I found CAM to be a constant challenge. As a transfer student, I came into this program feeling intimidated by all of its requirements, but little did I know that these same requirements were what made me into who I am today. Any student enrolled in CAM will quickly realize how unique and rewarding this program really is. The type of skills and comprehensive knowledge you gain over the years will automatically put you at an advantage over other university students and in the aviation industry. And although I sometimes felt left behind in terms of the excitement of flying and being a pilot by choosing to do the groundside option of the program (non-flight). This option rather gave me the advantage of having more time to not only excel in my university career, but also to experience university life at its fullest, discover new passions, and form many enduring friendships throughout my university career!

I grew up across a fence from an airport and always longed to be included into the aviation world and CAM certainly was the best decision I made thus far. During the time I spent at UWO, I got two international internships; one with Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM), and the second with Lufthansa International Airlines. My initial expectations were relatively simple; be an intern with a small data entry job, however, the reality of it was completely different. Not only did I find myself parallel in skill and knowledge to employees who have been there for years, but also at an advantage due to the knowledge of the aviation industry. These skilled helped me make better decisions and derive insight from everyday tasks. So CAM can definitely take you places and really help you get recognized fast!

It is important to mention that although CAM is open for any university student, it does not necessarily suit everyone; it really takes a great deal passion, effort, and determination for anyone to complete this degree and excel in the program. You will definitely work hard, but the rewards are beyond great. CAM gives you the opportunity to be yourself and shine. The more you give the more you will get back!

Perhaps UWO is one of the very few places around the world to offer such a program, yet at the same time, a select few of these programs take you all over the world. And CAM is definitely one of them!
